The proposed budget for this year’s Spring Sing is nearly $65,000 after action taken by the Oklahoma Christian University Student Government Association last night.
Treasurer Taylor Dotson reviewed the proposed Spring Sing budget of $64,380 and funding request from the Jan.17 meeting. SGA attendees voted on these matters and both plans passed.
Seibrina Huckaby and Abigail Kent presented an update on the Spring Sing philanthropy plans for its year of fundraising. This year, the team is working with the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma (DSACO).
Huckaby and Kent said the committee plans to organize an alumni dinner, an egg hunt for DSACO children and all-star basketball games in The Nest as ways to fundraise.
SGA President Tyler Clarke presented a new Kudos committee following the spiritual life discussion from last week’s meeting. Members also discussed how to better communicate with the Spiritual Life office.
The Oklahoma Christian Campus Spirit Committee encourages students to follow their new twitter account for the latest information on campus activities and the opportunity to win prizes.
Freshman class president, Grayson Boker, presented SGA’s new promotional series. Videos from the series are scheduled to air in chapel for the remainder of the semester.
