SGA sets goals for this semester

At last night’s Student Government Association (SGA) meeting, senators created goals for the semester. President Nash Scott encouraged attendees to think outside the box.

Senators discussed increasing diversity efforts, engaging in the Oklahoma City community and the creation of a unifying event on campus.

According to Vice President Audrey Redfearn, student organizations can share their events with the SGA for advertisements.

Today, students will have the opportunity to participate in the Suicide Prevention month walk for Awareness. The walk will begin at 6:30 in the Baird Loop.

Next week in the Student Center, professor Bobby Kern will begin selling Buggy Joe T-shirts to increase awareness about Down Syndrome.

Team OC will host their annual glow run on September 15th at 7:30. All participants will earn a free t-shirt.

The Oklahoma Blood Institute Blood Mobile will set up a blood drive on September 14th and 17th.

Freshman fanfare will occur on September 19th in the forum. The SGA will host food trucks to attend the event.
