The Eagles’ basketball teams make splashes in the Nest every weekend, scoring baskets and getting wins.
While the varsity teams compete in conference games, other students on campus also have the opportunity to play basketball in the Nest for intramurals. Tonight kicks off intramural basketball season with a free throw competition from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Then, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m., the basketball games officially begin.
The intramural basketball season goes throughout January and February. Playoffs begin Monday, Feb. 17, and A-Team championships will be on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
The men can participate in four different leagues and the women play in three, ranging in levels of skill and difficulty.
Basketball opens the competition for the spring semester of intramurals as the clubs battle for the title of All-Sports Champion.
