After months of planning and weeks of rehearsals, the Oklahoma Christian University production of “Shrek the Musical” opened last night to a sold out audience. The musical headlines a week of activities celebrating homecoming.
The musical stars senior Sean Steel as Shrek, junior Kendall Haliburton as Princess Fiona, senior Jabbari Jones as Donkey and freshman Tyler Clark as Lord Farquaad. The lead actors are supported by a large cast of ensemble performers, stagehands, technical directors and the pit orchestra.
“Shrek the Musical” runs Nov. 5-7 with showtimes at 8 p.m. in Oklahoma Christian’s Hardeman Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online. Before the show each night, children have the opportunity to meet the show’s princess in “Tea With Princess Fiona.”
