Hamburgers, pretzels and wings were flying out of food trucks Friday night during the second annual food truck homecoming event.

Last year food trucks circled around the forum during homecoming for the first time, and because of popularity, the event was brought back this year.

This year, the food trucks included Mob Grill, Chicken n’ Wangz and Twisted Pretzel. Students and alumni purchased tickets for $3 each and traded them in for one full meal at a food truck of their choice.

“This is my first time at the food truck event,” freshman Linh Le said. “So it’s a fun experience for me. For a three-buck meal, that is very decent because it has the same quality as a 10-buck meal.”

Although the night was chilly, there were still crowds of people lined up behind the trucks.

An hour after the food trucks were open for business, Vanderzee played in the forum. Students were able to bring their food and listen to Vanderzee’s new album “The Hopeful Bright” performed live.

“I really enjoy the food and the time I spend with my friends at the concert,” Linh said. “Although, I still wish that the truck had opened sooner, and the concert had lasted a bit longer.”
