SGA Weekly Update: February 16

The Student Government Association met on Feb. 14 to vote on the International Game Developers budget request, revise an article in the Student Government Constitution and present upcoming events.

First, the International Game Developers, made up of Gaming and Animation majors on campus, asked the Student Government for money to go to San Francisco for a Game Developers Conference during Spring Break. The students will vote in the next week to approve this request.

Next, there was a Constitution Revision Request. This request is in light of Article V of the Constitution relating to the qualifications of the Student Government President elected. The revision would constitute that the individual running for Executive President must have completed a minimum of 40 credit hours and been a part of the Association for two semesters.

Lastly, Eagle Eye presented upcoming events, such as a home basketball game on Feb. 17 against St. Edward’s University and the intramural basketball championships taking place next week.
