Name: Madeline Coon

Club: Freshmen

Year: Freshman

Hometown: Okemah, OK

Major: Medical Laboratory Science

Sport: Basketball A team

Monday, February 4:The Freshmen defeated the women of Theta Theta Theta Feb. 4. However, due to a rule infraction, a player playing on multiple teams, the Freshmen forfeited the game, and the win went to Theta. Coon averages four 3-pointers per game and is the high scorer for the Freshman A team.

Q: What do you enjoy about playing intramurals?

 A: “I like playing sports and trying new things, so intramurals allow me to play sports and even play ones I’ve never tried. I also get to meet new people, make great friends, get exercise and it gets me out of doing homework.”

Intramural Male Athlete of the Week

Name: David Richardson

 

Club: Chi Lambda Phi

Year: Junior

Hometown: Gilbert, AZ

Major: Political Science

Sport: Swimming

Stats:

Wednesday, February 6: Richardson swam in four events at the swim meet; the 25-meter butterfly, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and relay. He won first in every event, and Chi walked away with first place at the meet.

Q: Why do you enjoy swimming?

A: “I’m competitive, and it’s a lot of fun.”
