“It means a lot to us,” Niki said. “In high school, we played not even a week after she passed away and they had pink balloons in recognition of her. For us to get to continue that through college and have teammates and coaches who care enough to do that, not just for us but for so many other families as well, it just means so much.”

This year’s athletic banquet will feature a dinner, slideshow and speech by each coach, as well as a presentation of awards.
“They are soccer players, but at the same time they are Christians,” Korea Christian Head Coach Koo Daeryung said. “It is important for them to be more committed to their faith, not just to soccer itself.”
“When they get ripped on by the coaches, I am the guy who comes, puts an arm around their shoulder and tells them, ‘You can do this. You got this,’" Jeff McMillon said. "I think they like having me around but sometimes it still surprises me.”
Former Oklahoma Christian University Men’s Basketball Head Coach Dan Hays will receive the Guardians of the Game Award for Service presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Sunday, April 2.
“To say Jake is brave and tough would be an extreme understatement,” Jake Collin’s teammate and roommate senior Jake Baxter said. “He has gone through some things in the past year that few people have gone through in their entire lives. It takes a special person to still have the willpower to do what he is doing every day and Jake is just that.”
“If you had asked me at the beginning of the season how I felt about playing my last few games, I would have said I was ready, but now I am trying to hold on to every second,” senior forward Hannah Holasek said. “I never realized how quickly it would come. It is bittersweet.”
“Moving to America has been a pretty good adventure and I always want to try new stuff so I am glad I decided to come here," freshman soccer player Jen Atherton from England said.
