With five other new faculty members, Oklahoma Christian University welcomed professors Sara Alcon and Jennifer Gray this semester.

Alcon is the newest addition to the Department of Biology, and is an alumna of the Oklahoma Christian science department.

“I know the quality of the education here,” Alcon said. “I was well prepared when I left for graduate school and to be a part of giving people the quality of that education is awesome.”

Before she came to Oklahoma Christian, Alcon was in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she completed her graduate work.

This semester Alcon will be teaching general biology as well as human anatomy with a cadaver lab.

Alcon said she is excited about having a job at Oklahoma Christian.

“I’ve enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow faculty members,” Alcon said. “Everybody is really welcoming.”

When she is not teaching, Alcon enjoys reading and watching NASCAR.
